Here’s the video:

*Emotions are powerful. David was a King. He was called as “Man after God’s own heart.” But because of feelings/emotions, He crashed/failed.

*Normal Christian life– Living by faith (Habakkuk 3:1-19)

“My life as a pastor/ minister: I live by faith. But the truth is everyone of us should live by faith.”

*Habakkuk= Prayer/Story of a man struggling with pain; questioning God

Why does God seem so far away? When will He do something for me? Why did He take away my loved one? When will the bad people get what they deserve? Why does my life always seem to go from bad to worse?

*Pain: Requires somebody from outside to turn the pain into praise. It is not our own working. It is not with our own strength. It is not with our own abilities. Somebody has to put something in there to turn it into praise.

*Turning Pain into Praise:

1. Lay Your (R)equest to God- Pray. Be honest to God

>Prayer involves:

1. Revering to God

2. Reviewing God’s work

3. Resting in God- waiting

2. Turn your (N)aging pain to a (S)ong- Rejoice. Rely on God

3. Then (E)xalt God

*When pain/confusion keeps you from praising: Lay your request to God

>Don’t look for people/pastors to answer your questions. Don’t as anybody. Don’t complain to anybody. ASK GOD.

“We are afraid to lay our requests before the Lord.”

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

*The moment you allow God to move, God will take care

Anchor #1: Word of God

>Do not base on what you are seeing now but you have to base what God says

Anchor #2: The righteous will live by faith

Habakkuk 2:4 See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness

Not a great faith we need, but faith in a great God –J. Hudson Taylor
